VVS Laxman To Coach India on Ireland Tour 2022
After the South Africa series, India’s preoccupation revolved around the tour of Ireland and England. The BCCI has to take different measures as the game of these two tours is near. The BCCI is going to send VVS Laxman as the head coach of the India Cricket Team for the Ireland tour 2022. BCCI secretary Joy Shah confirmed the matter to the cricketer.
Indian Premier League (IPL) is on the way to the end. After that, India will be busy with more than one series. First of all, there is the South Africa series at the home ground of the Indian team. This is followed by a tour of Ireland and England. In a busy schedule, the board plans to have separate coaches with different teams.
Rumours about the symptoms had been circulating for some time. This time Joy Shah sealed it. Former India star cricketer and current head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) VVS Laxman is set to replace Rahul Dravid in the Ireland tour.
In this context, Joy Shah said, “He will go to Dublin with the Indian team.”
India will play a two-match T20 series in Ireland. The two matches will be held on June 26 and 27, respectively. Meanwhile, India will play a Test that has not been played in England since last year. Rahul Dravid and key players of the team will be busy with the Test between India and England at Edgbaston.
And that is why the BCCI is sending Laxman as a coach against Ireland. Not only sound education but his alertness and dedication too are most required. There will be no cricketers in the Test squad for the England tour in this series.
