“It took me a while to decide, ” Kohli said of leaving the captaincy. I have had many discussions with my people. After that, I am leaving the leadership in T20 cricket. Talks have been held with Secretary Joy Shah, President Sourav Ganguly, and selectors.
In 2016, Virat Kohli took charge of India in the short format of cricket. He led India in 45 matches and led the team to victory in 26 matches. Rumors are rife about who will lead India’s T20 squad as a replacement for Kohli. Everyone’s idea is that the baton of captaincy is going to be in Rohit’s hands.
