Virat Kohli Reprimanded For Violating IPL Code of Conduct

Royal Challengers Bangalore got a breathtaking win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the sixth match of IPL 2021. After winning the first two matches, Bangalore is now at the top. However, the team’s captain Virat Kohli has been reprimanded for violating the IPL code of conduct.

Virat Kohli, who made 33 off 29 balls, was dismissed by Jason Holder in the 13th over of Bangalore’s innings. He could not control his emotions after being run out. Reaching the dugout, he hit the bat and dropped the chair.

Earlier, he also hit the boundary line with the bat. The video of the incident immediately spread on social media. Kohli, however, did not get a discount for doing so.

Kohli has been reprimanded under Section 2.2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct. Kohli’s punishment went through quite a bit. Gautam Gambhir was fined 15 percent of his match fee in 2016 for almost the same offense.
