SLC Donates 2 Million USD to Sri Lanka Health Sector

Sri Lanka, an island nation in turmoil due to an economic crisis. At the same time, political instability has increased the scarcity. They have already declared themselves bankrupt. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board SLC has come forward in such a situation in the country and donates 2 million USD to the Sri Lanka health sector.

In a press release on Wednesday (May 25), Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed the financial support. They will send two million dollars (two million dollars) to two hospitals as grants. The two hospitals are Lady Ridgeway and National Cancer Hospital.

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that it will provide 1 million US dollars to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for the purchase of essential medicines for children and the remaining  $1 million USD for medicines required at the National Cancer Hospital.

The Sri Lankan government has resigned in the face of violent protests across the country. However, experts say the country will need a long time to overcome the financial crisis.

Each country’s cricket board is governed by the rules of the ICC. As a result, the autonomous cricket board did not suffer much in Sri Lanka. They are playing Test series in Bangladesh in the crisis situation of the country.

Sri Lankan Cricket Board President Shammi Silva has expressed satisfaction over the situation. “Sri Lankan cricket is very happy to be able to help the country in its crisis,” he said. We are always with the country to overcome the ongoing danger. ”
