Pat Cummins Ruled Out of IPL 2022 Due to Injury

Pat Cummins was not doing well in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Kolkata Knight Riders. He has taken 6 wickets in five matches for the team. But for this, he has spent more than 10 runs per over. This time Cummins heard another bad news. The Aussie Test captain Pat Cummins was Ruled Out of IPL 2022 Due to Injury.

Under his captaincy in the Ashes, Australia was caught in the quicksand of defeat. Captain Cummins deserves a lot of credit for holding England to 21 wickets in five matches with the ball in hand. After the Ashes’ success, Pat Cummins was also successful with the ball at home against Pakistan. But he could not maintain that continuity in IPL. He has to say goodbye in the middle due to injury.

Pat Cummins took three wickets for 22 runs against Mumbai on Monday (May 9). He suffered a knee injury in that match. Exactly how long it will take to recover from this injury is not yet known.

That is why Cummins will leave his home in Kolkata and return to his homeland. His rehabilitation process will continue there. The idea is that he will be able to recover before the Sri Lanka series. Australia will tour Sri Lanka to play the full series in June this year. Pat Cummins is in the ODI and Test squad for this tour. Cricket Australia has rested him for the T20 series.
