Pakistan Women’s Team Whitewashed Sri Lanka Team 2022

Pakistani girls could not do much in this year’s Women’s World Cup. They have shared a shameful record of reverse drawn rates. Bismah Maruf’s team finally broke the cycle of failure on the ground floor of the house. Pakistan women’s team beat Sri Lanka women’s cricket team 3-0 to win the T20 series 2022. Pakistan ensured a whitewash by beating the Sri Lankan women’s team by 4 wickets in the last T20.

The Sri Lankan girls won the toss and elected to bat first in Karachi on Sunday (May 26). Two openers Hasini Perera and captain Chamari Atapattu got off to a great start. The duo put up 69 runs off 7 balls in the opening over. The disaster was stopped in the 11th over.

In the 11th over of the match, Nidha Dar returned two Lankan batsmen to the pavilion with two consecutive balls. Perera was run out for 24 off 30 balls in the first over. Chamari, who made 36 off 36 balls, made his way to the pavilion with a catch in the hands of Iram Javed in the next ball.

The Sri Lankan girls could not turn around after two sets of batsmen. They lost 6 wickets for 63 runs. From there, Nushka Sanjivani and Sugandika Kumari led the team to a respectable score. Sri Lanka scored 106 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs with the help of 24 runs.

The Pakistani batsmen had to give a good test in front of the Sri Lankan girls by playing in reply to 108 runs. Apart from opener Muniba Bali, not a single batsman was able to play a single inning. Muniba scored 25 runs. However, in the short innings of the rest, Pakistan reached the threshold of winning the match.

In the last ball, Pakistan needs 1 ball 2. In this situation, Pakistan captain Bismah Maruf ensured the whitewash of the Lankans as well as whitewashing the team by taking 4 runs effortlessly by flicking on long-on. In the end, Bismah remained unbeaten with 15 runs off 15 balls.
