Pakistan Staff Member Tests Positive for Covid Arriving in Sri Lanka

Pakistan arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday (July 6th) to play a Test series. The entire team went through a covid test is in the country’s capital, Colombo. However, in the meantime, Pakistan Staff Member Tests Positive for Covid Arriving in Sri Lanka.

Upon arrival in Colombo, the entire Pakistan team’s corona was tested. The coronavirus was found in the body of one of the teammates in the test. He was immediately sent to five-day isolation. After five days, his corona will be tested again. Then if the result is negative, he will be able to join the team. If he does not recover after five days, Pakistan will have to take a new team boy from Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will play a two-match Test series against hosts Sri Lanka on the tour. Although there was also a white ball series, it has been postponed for the Sri Lanka franchise tournament (Sri Lanka Premier League). Sri Lanka is currently playing a Test series against Australia. Corona Hana is also in the host team. Corona has already been ruled out of the last Test of the series against Ajit.

Pakistan will officially start training in Colombo on Friday (July 8). They will also play a warm-up match from July 11 to July 13. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the first Test on July 18. The second and final match of the series will be played on July 24 at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.

Earlier, Pakistan played a three-match Test series against Australia at home. Despite drawing the first two matches, Babar Azam’s team lost the last match and lost the series.
