Mushfiqur Rahim To Perform Hajj and Withdraws from West Indies Tour 2022

The wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim withdraws his name from the West Indies tour in 2022. Mushfiqur Rahim has sought leave from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to perform the holy Hajj 2022. The BCB has granted leave to this experienced batsman considering all aspects.

The Bangladesh national cricket team is currently busy with a Test series at home against Sri Lanka. After this series, Bangladesh will catch the flight of the West Indies. However, Mushfiqur Rahim, one of the cricketers of the team, is not going to the Caribbean with the team.

Mushfiqur’s leave has been confirmed by the BCB team director and chairman of the game development committee Khaled Mahmud Sujan. In this context, Sujan said, ‘Yes, he (Mushfiqur) will not be found in the West Indies tour. Because then he will perform Hajj. ‘

Bangladesh may face some problems during the Mushfiqur Rahim holiday tour of the West Indies 2022. Three key players Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam and Naeem Hasan will miss the Test series against the West Indies due to injuries. This time Mushfiqur made the list heavy.

Bangladesh will play two Tests and three ODIs and T20s in the West Indies tour. This series will start with a test match. Although the schedule of the series has not been finalized yet. However, the two-match Test series is expected to be held on June 18 and 24.

After that, the three-match T20 series is scheduled to be held on July 2, 3 and 6. Bangladesh will end their tour of the West Indies with a 50-over match at the end of the T20 series. ODI matches can be played on 10, 13 and 17 July.
