Ireland T20 Squad Announced Against New Zealand 2022

Cricket Ireland has announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming three-match home T20 series against New Zealand 2022. The last squad to play against India has remained unchanged. Cricket Ireland (CI) has announced a 14-member squad in a statement. As usual, the Irish will be led by Andrew Balberny.

Ireland is stuck in the same squad, the recently concluded squad for the match against India will also play against New Zealand. However, Ireland lost the two-match T20 series 0-2. However, in the last T20, they were chasing a huge target of 226 runs. But luck did not help, the Irish lost by only four runs.

New faces Connor Wolfert and Stephen Doheny have taken their place. With Wolfart making his international debut against India, uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Dohny could get a chance in the top XI in the upcoming Kiwi assignment.

All three T20s of the series against New Zealand will be played in Stormont. The first T20 of the series will be played on July 18, followed by the remaining two matches on July 20 and 22. The three-match ODI series will be played at Malahide before the two teams take to the field in the T20 series.
