IPL 2021: Players who will miss the opening match of Indian Premier League 14
With just two weeks remaining until The IPL 2021, three key players will miss their opening match. In shocking events, Rajasthan Royals captain Jofra Archer, captain of The Delhi Capitals’ Shreyas Iyer, will miss the opening match, while RCB player Adam Zampa will not be available for personal reasons.
Shreyas Iyer (DC)
In a highly unfortunate development for the Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer dislocated his shoulder severely in the opening ODI against England on Tuesday. According to BCCI sources, Iyer will be at a minimum over the next 6-8 weeks. This means that Captain Delhi Capital now has doubts about IPL 2021 Telecast Channel.
Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a tweet: “Shrias Ayer lost his left shoulder in the eighth minute while participating in the field.”
Jofra Archer (RR)
Archer returned to England to manage and investigate a right elbow injury during the Test series. According to the ECB, the problem of the Archer facility worsened during the recently completed T20 series. The ECB medical team will assess the player and, together with Jofra, will develop a treatment plan and a schedule for returning to play in due course. As a result, Jofra will miss the Indian Premier League start this year.
Adam Zampa (RCB)
Mike Hesson, the franchise’s director of cricket, has confirmed that Australian player Adam Zampa will miss the first Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) match in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) when he gets married.
“Zampa will marry. It is an important moment for him, something that we recognize and respect as a privilege and hopes to have a good time. So when he joins us, again it will be new and will contribute significantly to the rest of the tournament,” Hesson said.
