Gujarat Titans Become IPL 2022 Champions

With the Gujarat Titans winning their first edition of the IPL, Hardik Pandya set another personal record. Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya gave the team a taste of becoming champions at home as soon as he took over the captaincy for the first time in the IPL 2022.

The final match of the 15th edition of the world’s most popular tournament was watched by around one lakh people sitting on the field. Besides, according to Indian media, around half a crore people from all over the world have watched the IPL final in front of the TV.

Meanwhile, another world record has been set before the start of the final of the 15th edition of the IPL. The world’s largest cricket jersey has been unveiled at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On the top right of the huge jersey was the symbol of the Indian Cricket Board. At the bottom were the symbols of the ten IPL teams. And sometimes the 15th IPL was written in big letters.

The Gujarat Titans have won the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time. Hardik Pandya’s side defeated defending champions Rajasthan Royals by six wickets in the presence of a record number of spectators at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.

Rajasthan won the title of the first edition of IPL in 2006. The late Rajasthan spinner Shane Warne was the captain of Rajasthan in that event. After a long time, he won the title for the second time and reached the final, but he did not. Rajasthan was defeated by Gujarat which is in great form.

Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bat first in the final on Sunday (May 29). However, the team’s batsmen could not properly evaluate his decision. Rajasthan bowlers lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and Rajasthan scored 130 runs.

Gujarat Titans reached the victory port with 11 balls left in the opener Shubhamal Gill’s bat. The Ahmedabad team tasted the title for the first time in the 15th edition of the IPL.

Basically, Gujarat got the message of becoming the champion after getting the target of 131 runs in 120 balls. Although the team lost wickets in the beginning. However, captain Hardik Pandya’s pairing with opener Shubhaman Gill made the team fearful of winning. Even though Pandya was out in the end, Shubhaman Gill picked up the victory with 11 balls left with David Miller.

Pandya scored 34 off 30 balls. Where there was a huge six with 3 fours. Besides, opener Shubhaman Gill scored an unbeaten 45 off 43 balls. He also had 3 fours and a six in this innings. In the end, David Miller made a storm with the bat. He scored 32 runs in 19 ball innings with 3 fours and one six.
