Cricket South Africa’s contract with Graeme Smith expires on March 31 this year. CSA chief executive Foletesi Musaki said his contract had not been renewed since then.

“After his term expires in March, he is no longer in that position,” Musaki said. Now we are waiting for the arbitrator’s report. After that a formal decision will be taken in this regard. Then I can tell what will happen in the future. But Smith’s contract has not been extended. ”

Cricket South Africa will appoint a new cricket director. However, the CSA did not say anything about who would be given the responsibility.

“Not everyone who has applied for the position has been seen, but as far as I have seen, I have not received any application from Smith,” Musaki said. We will start the process of appointing the director soon. ”

Graeme Smith appointed Mark Boucher as the cricket director. There was a lot of criticism about this. However, Smith did not back down.

There have also been recent allegations of racism against several former Proteas cricketers. In addition to Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, Graeme Smith is also named. For this reason, CSA may not have expressed interest in extending the contract with him.
